Mike
...................... We have bought a 250yr old Norfolk Cottage which used to be the village Bakery. We are renovating the property which has not been redecorated since the 1970's. We moved from Sussex and love the Norfolk area dearly. BUT there is a unique time zone in Norfolk which I have never encountered in any of the many other Counties in which I have lived. In trying to get Builders to give quotes for work, 3 out of 3 failed to get back to us within 3 weeks and even then after much chasing by us only one did so. The 2nd kept saying for 6 weeks that he was definitely going to write out the quote 'this weekend' and we never ever, ever heard from the 3rd, who was probably asleep some where. This then is a daily diary of the renovation of our house for us to look back on in years to come and also one couples attempt to acclimatise to the idiosyncrasies which are considered Normal for Norfolk.
